The Solid Miners, on Sunday, displayed exceptional resilience and determination against hosts, Bendel Insurance, in a hard-fought 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League match-day 34 clash at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin, Edo State, as they secured a crucial point against the Benin Arsenal.

The game which began with a high intensity saw both sides create a litany of goals-coring opportunities and adjusting their formations to gain an upper hand, but would end up sharing the spoils at regulation time.

Nasarawa United’s counter-attacking strategy yielded dividends, catching the hosts off guard as Abubakar Garba slotted home the ball at the vantaged minute of 42.

The hosts, however, responded with some audacity in the 70th minute, courtesy of Michael Enaruna to bring scoreline to 1-1 apiece.

Further efforts on goal by the rivals could not produce any differing scoreline with the points shared.

Sunday’s result sees United reaffirming their poise to remain afloat in the Premier League, despite beginning the current campaign on a weak note, as they are now placed 15th on the log with 43 points from 34 games.

The team will next host Heartland FC in their newly adopted Pantami Stadium, Gombe, on Sunday, 27th April, 2025.

In a related development, a staunch supporter of Nasarawa United, Peter Anyebe Pepsy, rewarded the team with the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira for their favourable result on the road against Bendel Insurance on Sunday evening.

Mr. Peter congratulated the team for the feat, and challenged them to sustain the tempo in the remaining games of the season.
