Emmanuel Essien was the hero for Osun United, as his stunning long-range effort in the 53rd minute beat Solution FC’s goalkeeper and gave the visitors a vital lead.
Essien’s well-placed shot seemed to have secured all three points for Osun United as the match drew toward its conclusion.
However, Solution FC proved to be resilient, showing great determination in the final stages of the game. With the clock ticking down, the hosts threw everything forward in search of an equalizer.
Their efforts were rewarded in dramatic fashion when they managed to find the back of the net in the 92nd minute.
The late goal stunned Osun United, as Solution FC snatched a point from the jaws of defeat. The match, which had been largely uneventful during the first half, turned into an exciting spectacle in the second, with both teams trading blows until the final whistle.
The 1-1 draw means that both sides shared the spoils, leaving Osun United slightly disappointed after leading for the majority of the second half. For Solution FC, the late goal provided a sense of relief as they salvaged a point at home.
