Day 12 of the Olympics: Ukpeseraye makes her cycling debut in the Women’s Keirin,  first round

Women’s Keirin first round action will include Nigerian rider, Ese Ukpeseraye in cycling track at Vélodrome de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines) at 2:26 PM making it the first-ever appearance  that Nigeria will appear in cycling Olympic.
As the Paris  2024 Olympic Games enters its 12th day, anticipation runs high for Team Nigeria, which is poised to showcase its talent across various sports.
As others athletes will competes  in athletics, wrestling, and basketball, each aiming to leave their mark on this prestigious global stage.
Oluwatobiloba Amusan,  will compete in the heat 1 of the women’s 100 meters hurdles.
The 27-year-old will file out in lane nine of the first heat of the event’s first round by 9:15 am.
The world record holder will hope for a fantastic start to her competition in Paris and to secure the only major title that has eluded her.
Later in the day, Nigeria’s women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, will take on the United state in the quarter-final of the women’s basketball event.
The Rena Wakama-led ladies qualified for Nigeria’s first-ever appearance in the last eight of the Olympics basketball tournament after defeating Canada 79-70 in their last group game on Sunday.
The team has been handed a herculean quarter-final clash against the Americans by 8:30 pm.
Samuel Ogazi will become the first Nigerian to compete in the men’s 400m final at the Olympics since 1988.
A feat for the 18-year-old who has been slotted in lane two of the final, which is scheduled to be held by 9:20 pm.
