The Sam Empowerment Foundation (SEF) in collaboration with Vivacity Development will host a landmark national consultative conference titled “Nigeria Works 2030: The Future of Work Initiative” on July 17, 2025, in Abuja.
Focused on shaping Nigeria’s workforce for a fast-changing global economy, the conference aims to drive bold, inclusive, and actionable strategies.
Key themes will include technology, green innovation, entrepreneurship, and skills development, especially for women, rural communities, and underserved populations.
SEF Program Director, Kiema Ogunlana, emphasized the urgency of the moment:
“The future of work is not some distant concept—it’s already here. We must move beyond talk and begin building systems that empower workers across all levels to thrive in today’s reality.”
The event will convene stakeholders across government, private sector, academia, and development partners, sparking collaboration to transform education, workforce policy, and access to future-facing skills such as AI, digital literacy, renewable energy, and creative enterprise.
“Nigeria has the people, the energy, and the talent,” Ogunlana added. “But unless we connect that potential to the right tools and systems, we’ll continue to fall short. This is our opportunity to make it work—not just for the privileged, but for everyone.”
With Vivacity Development’s expertise in social impact strategy and inclusive engagement, the conference promises to bridge grassroots insights with national policy perspectives.
“We are calling on all changemakers—policymakers, institutions, investors, and community leaders—to show up with real commitments,” Ogunlana urged. “This isn’t just a dialogue—it’s about shaping a sustainable future that truly works for Nigeria.”
The Nigeria Works 2030 conference is expected to produce practical outcomes and firm commitments aimed at building a resilient, equitable, and future-ready workforce for all Nigerians.
