Vivacity Development, a pan-African development organization, will convene a landmark Executive Consultation under the NigeriaWorks 2030 Initiative on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the Abuja Continental Hotel.

The closed-door, invitation-only event will gather an elite group of stakeholder, policymakers, private sector leaders, development partners, and innovation champions to co-create a transformative vision for Nigeria’s workforce.

Held in partnership with SAM Empowerment Foundation (SEF), the consultation aims to generate forward-thinking solutions that address systemic challenges and unlock inclusive, sustainable opportunities in employment, skills development, and economic transformation.

“ We stand at the crossroads of a rapidly evolving global employment landscape,” said

Engr. Oluwakemi Ann-Melody Areola**, CEO/Managing Director of Vivacity Development.

“This Executive Consultation is not just a meeting—it is a catalytic platform to influence policy, shape investments, and foster the bold collaborations needed to build a resilient, future-ready Nigerian workforce.

Our ambition through NigeriaWorks 2030 is to move from fragmented interventions to unified action that equips our youth, women, and underserved populations with future-relevant skills while strengthening Nigeria’s global competitiveness.

“ We are driving a vision that positions Nigeria not only as a participant in the future of work, but as a leader shaping it.”

Themed “The Future of Work Initiative”, the NigeriaWorks 2030 Consultation will spotlight priority areas including digital transformation, green innovation, AI and emerging technologies, and youth-centered entrepreneurship. Special attention will be given to preparing underserved groups particularly women, rural communities, and youth to thrive in the new world of work.

Kiema Ogunlana, Program Director at SEF, emphasized the urgency of this agenda:

“ The future of work is not a distant idea—it’s here. And the real question is: are we ready? We must move beyond rhetoric and build systems that support workers at all levels to thrive in this new reality.”

“Nigeria has the numbers, the creativity, and the drive,” Kiema added. “But unless we connect our people to the right tools and ecosystems, we’ll keep missing the mark. This is our chance to get it right—for everyone, not just the privileged few.”

The session will feature keynote addresses, technical panels, and interactive breakouts designed to yield actionable insights and long-term commitments. It will also contribute to the development of a national strategic workforce roadmap aligned with global trends and national development priorities.

Vivacity Development brings its proven track record in social impact strategy and inclusive communications to ensure that voices from grassroots communities to high-level institutions are engaged in shaping solutions that leave no one behind.

“ We’re calling on all change-makers—policymakers, institutions, investors, and community leaders—to come with real commitments,” added Ogunlana. “This is about building a future that works for Nigeria, and for all Nigerians.”

Participation is strictly by invitation. Confirmed guests will receive full logistics upon RSVP. The event will run from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
