Legacy Stars FC has emerged victorious in the 2025 FCT NLO Pre-Season Tournament, defeating Paul-E Academy 3-1 in a penalty shootout on Wednesday in Abuja.
The match, played at the Area 3 Football Pitch, saw Paul-E Academy’s Abdullah K score in the 16th minute, only to be equalized by Legacy Stars FC’s Onyi in the 55th minute.
To reach the final, Legacy Stars FC defeated EFCC FC 1-0, while Paul-E FC defeated Family Worship Champions FC (FWC FC) 4-3 in a penalty shootout, following a goalless draw.
Damian Jegede, head coach of Legacy Stars FC, expressed pride in his team’s performance and this is our first time participating in the FCT preseason tournament .
Our goal was to win the pre-season tournament, we have achieved it.
“ Our focus is now shifts to the league, which commences on April 11.
“ My team will continue to train and intensify preparations.
“ I appreciate the organizer and the officiating crew. They did wonderfully well.
