Kada Kings and Nigeria Customs Service men’s team emerged as the standout performers in their respective matches on day 2 of the 2024 National Beach Volleyball Star/Open Tour in Bauchi State.

Kada Kings continued their winning streak in the men’s star tour while Nigeria Customs Service made a strong impact at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium.

The Men’s Star division witnessed exciting action as Wikki Spikers I secured a 2-0 (21-19, 21-13) victory over Samba Boys. In another fierce contest, Kada Kings edged out Kada Stars in a nail-biting 2-1 thriller (21-13, 19-21, 15-13), showing their resilience under pressure.

Later, Kada Kings returned to the court with another commanding 2-0 (21-6, 21-13) win against Samba Boys reinforcing their dominance in the competition.

In the Women’s Star Tour, Kada Emeralds cruised past Adamawa Queen with a dominant 2-0 (21-15, 21-3) victory. The Nigeria Customs Service team also made a strong statement, defeating Musa Rifkatu 2-0 (21-10, 21-6), showcasing their superior skill and coordination.

In the Men’s Open category, Musa Rifkatu struggled to find their rhythm, falling to Osun Spikers in 2 straight sets (10-21, 13-21). Similarly, Wikki Spikers II were defeated by Pro Spikers 0-2 (16-21, 15-21), while Musa Rifkatu once again lost to Plateau Spikers 0-2 (5-21, 13-21), continuing their tough day on the court.

However, Kada Prince I bounced back from a first-set loss to Simplified VC by winning 2-1 in a thrilling turnaround (16-21, 21-18, 15-13). They followed this up with another dominant 2-0 victory over Pro Spikers (21-15, 21-17), demonstrating their impressive form.

Kada Prince II also made a strong impression, winning 2-0 (21-15, 21-19) against Osun Spikers but narrowly lost 1-2 (15-21, 21-11, 15-17) to Simplified VC in a close contest.

In another exciting match, Refiners VC took down Wikki Spikers II 2-0 (21-18, 21-16), while Pro Spikers had a hard-fought 2-1(21-18, 11-21, 15-13) victory over Osun Spikers making for a thrilling conclusion to the day’s action.
