 Head coach of Nigeria’s Under-20 women’s national team, the Falconets, Christopher Danjuma has expressed heartfelt congratulations to forward Sebastine Flourish on her recently transfer to joined Turkish side Galatasaray Feminine.


The Galatasaray announced the signing on their social media platforms, posting a picture of Sebastine in the club’s jersey.

The coach  expressed delight at the transfer, stating, “It’s a privilege for Sebastine to  have join Galatasaray, showcasing Nigeria’s exceptional talent globally.

“  This move will unlock her maximum potential on the world stage,” he said.

He also praised her skills saying “She’s a prolific striker, deadly, and excellent at taking on defenders. Her attacking power will undoubtedly boost Galatasaray’s position in the league.

Sabastine joined Galatasaray from Stade de Reims in France on a one-year contract, reuniting with Super Falcons center back Blessing Demehin.

 She’s  born in 2004, began her career at Unnich Football Academy before moving on to Bayelsa Queens FC and then Stade de Reims.

She was a key player for the Nigeria U-20 team at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, where the team reached the quarterfinals.

Her impressive performances earned her a maiden call-up to the senior women’s national team the same year and she made her senior debut against Japan in 2023.

Sabastine made an impressive debut for Turkish club Galatasaray, providing an assist in a commanding 4-1 victory over Amed on Sunday.

She set up Andrea Staskova’s hat-trick goal during stoppage time, showcasing her playmaking abilities right from the start.

Currently competing in the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL), Galatasaray is positioned sixth in the league standings, accumulating 12 points after seven matches—nine points behind leaders Galatasaray.
