Confédération Africaine de Volleyball,(CAVB ) board member and President of Zone III, Ali Yaro, recently visited Abuja to evaluate the city’s readiness for the upcoming 2025 Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship in Abuja.

The championship is scheduled to take place from April 1st to April 14th,2025 and Yaro’s assessment is crucial in ensuring a smooth and successful event.

During his visit, Yaro toured various facilities, including hotels, training grounds, and the competition venue.


He also met with key stakeholders, such as the leadership of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Musa Nimrod and Nigeria Customs Volleyball Club.

These meetings were likely aimed at discussing logistics, preparations, and any potential challenges that may arise during the championship.

Notably, 24 teams have registered for this year’s event, making it a significant gathering of women’s volleyball teams from across Africa.

The championship promises to be an exciting display of skill and sportsmanship, and Yaro’s efforts will help ensure that the event is well-organized and enjoyable for all participants.
