President of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria, Francis Orbih, said that the meeting was a positive step, with open discussions on sports development.
“ The Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh candid approach was encouraging.
“ Notably, this government has invested heavily in sports federations,
surpassing previous efforts.
However, funding remains a challenge, and I firmly believe that government support alone isn’t enough.
“ I believe government support alone is insufficient, and the National Sports Industry Policy will foster a business-like environment, attracting private sector participation.
“ If implemented effectively, this policy will propel Nigerian sports forward,” he said.
