CAF Women’s Champions League qualifying WAFU B: Edo Queens FC  reach final berth ,to face Aninonvi FC

Edo Queens FC remain focus, and come out victorious at the end of regulation time with 2-1 against host ,Inter-D’Abidjan FC of Cote D’Ivoire in a semifinal do or die  crunch game at the Stade De La paix Stadium Cote D’Ivoire. .

As Edo Queens FC file out against the host country in a make or mar game,Emem Essien immediately do the damage up front in the seventh minute and  Blessing  llivieda doubles the tally in the 34th minute of the first half.
Just after the resumption of the second half, Inter-D’Abidjan FC half the deficit by Adjoua Niamien in the 46th minute.
Both team  fought harder but the game ended 2-1.
A win in this epic clash automatically give them the ticket to play the winners from Group A , Ainonvi FC of Benin Republic to determine the country that will represent  zone B in the final  stage of the champions League.
Edo Queens Football Club of Benin City  Nigerian’s representatives in the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU-B play-off continues their unbeaten run as they confront Ainonvi FC of Benin Republic in final to be played on Friday.
To reach the  berth, Edo Queens humbled their first opponent As Garde of Niger 5-0 in the opener, went on  to humble Hasaacas Ladies of Ghana 3-0 in their second group game.
They  sealed it up in their last qualifying match against AO Etincelle FC of Burkina Faso 1-0 to top Group B with 9 points and 9 goals without conceding a goal.
Were a team would emerged winners in the finals would fly their country’s flag to the CAF Champions League proper coming up later in the year in Cairo,  Egypt.

In Group A,  Aninonvi FC beat  AO Etincelle FC 1-0 to qualify to final.

Following  decent performance in the CAF Women’s Champions League semi-final clash against Inter D’Abidjan, Edo Queens FC, Suliat Abideen has been voted Man Of The Match.
WAFU B consists of Ainonvi FC of Benin Republic , Hasaacas Ladies of Ghana , Inter d’Abidjan of Côte d’Ivoire, AO Étincelles OU USFA of Burkina Faso, AS Garde Nationale of Niger, Edo Queens of Nigeria and ASKO de Kara of Togo.
