Barau football club of Kano has been drawn together with Plateau United in the group A of the 2024 Gusau/Ahlan Pre-season Tournament in Jos .
In a statement signed by the club Media officer, Ahmad Hamisu Gwale, he revealed that the Maliya Boys will compete against Niger Tonardoes, MaiLantarki FC and Plateau United in group A.
The Gusau/Ahlan pre-season tournament is renowned for its competitive edge, that provide an avenue for players to showcase their skills and talent.
Earlier today, the team arrived in Jos, the plateau state capital with 30 players, and other officials ahead of the kickoff of the tournament.
The NFF President Pre-season tournament tagged Gusau/Alhan, is set to commence on today August 20th, 2024, at the New Jos Stadium in Jos, Plateau State.
The opening match will feature Barau FC facing off against Plateau United at 3:30 pm.
Recalled that the Nigeria National League side, Barau FC, had announced the appointment of former head coach of Nigeria’s Olympic Eagles, Salisu Yusuf.
The former Super Eagles assistant coach had been unveiled as the technical adviser of the club on a one-year contract with an option to extend the contract for another year.
