Kano to host the 2024 AYSOF President Peace Cup Semifinals and Final
The Kano state government has disclosed plans to host the 2024 AYSOF President Peace Cup. The semifinals and final will be held at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata Kano, in August.
The Chairman of the Kano State African Youth Sports Federation (AYSOF), Shehu Usman Yola, better known as Shehu Misille, said the kickoff and quarterfinals of the competition are being played in Katsina and Zamfara States, respectively.
He said the four teams that remain to participate in the semifinals and finals are the Abba Gida-Gida boys of Kano, Al Khairat of Sokoto, Nadir Idris boys of Kebbi State, and Mohammed Bago boys of Niger State.
He also said semifinals will be held on August 8 to August 9, and the final on August 11, in Kano.
Shehu Usman said, “It’s going to be a special game being in a state with a rich tradition of soccer.
He urged on the state governors to give more support and consideration to our youths across the nation; that will really push the youth to try to go and reach new heights, as well as ways of maintaining peace by changing lives and building stronger communities through sports.
