Savannah Spikers, Kano Pillars, Kada Emeralds, Anista Set for 2026 President Beach Volleyball Finals in Kaduna

Finalists have emerged at the ongoing 2026 President Beach Volleyball Tournament taking place at the Murtala Mohammed Square Beach Courts in Kaduna, setting the stage for an exciting finale on Tuesday, February 17.

In the men’s category, Savannah Spikers will face Kano Pillars in the final after both sides recorded hard-fought victories in their respective semi-final clashes.

Kano Pillars I secured their place in the final with a 2-1 win over Akapson VC. They dominated the opening set 21-6 before conceding the second set 16-21. However, they rallied strongly in the deciding set to seal victory with a 15-4 scoreline.

Savannah Spikers also advanced with a 2-1 triumph over Dynamite VC. They edged the first set 21-19, lost the second 18-21, and sealed qualification with a commanding 15-6 win in the third set.

In the women’s category, Kada Emeralds will square off against Anista in what promises to be a thrilling final encounter.

Anista booked their spot in the final after defeating Katsina 2-1 in a tightly contested semi-final.

They claimed the first set 23-21, narrowly lost the second 20-22, and dominated the deciding set 15-6 to progress.

Kada Emeralds, on the other hand, delivered a commanding performance against Adamawa Spikers, winning in straight sets.

They took the first set 21-17 before cruising to a 21-12 victory in the second set to secure a 2-0 win.

With the finalists now confirmed, attention turns to Tuesday’s championship matches, where the top teams will battle for honours at the President Beach Volleyball Tournament in Kaduna.

30  teams are participating at the ongoing 6th Annual  President Beach Volleyball Tournament that commenced on February 13  to February 17 in Kaduna,

With organisers positioning the event as a strategic platform for selecting players ahead of forthcoming international championships.

The tournament feature senior and junior players in both male and female categories drawn from volleyball-playing states across the federation.

This year’s edition is distinct because it  feature senior players being considered to represent Nigeria at the Beach Volleyball Championship scheduled for July.

Nigeria’s female beach volleyball team currently ranks first in Africa , while the male team is placed ninth.
