Customs Extend Winning Run as Police Complete Stunning Comeback on Day 10 in Abuja

The 2025 CGC Volleyball Premier League final phase at the ongoing 2025 Comptroller General of Customs Volleyball Premier League, delivered another round of intense matchups on Thursday in Abuja, as teams in both the men’s and women’s categories battled for critical points in the closing stretch of the competition.

2025 Comptroller General of Customs Volleyball Premier League final phase commenced on Dec. 1 and will run till Dec. 13 at Package B of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

In the men’s, Nigeria Customs Service continued their impressive form with a commanding 3–0 win over Sunshine Spikers. Customs showed superior control throughout the encounter, wrapping up the sets 25–11, 25–18, and 25–20 to further solidify their title ambitions.

UCEM cruised to a straight-sets victory over Offa VC. Despite Offa’s spirited push in the opening set, which ended 28–26 in UCEM’s favour, the winners tightened their grip to claim the remaining sets 25–13 and 25–16.

CNS Spikers recorded a solid 3–0 victory over NSCDC, winning the sets 25–18, 25–20, and 25–20. Their consistent attacking play proved too much for NSCDC to handle.

Kano Pillars continued their good run with a clean 3–0 win over Kada Kings. Pillars took control early and maintained momentum to close out the sets 25–15, 25–21, and 25–20.

Nigeria Correctional Service secured a 3–1 win over NAF Rockets. They took the first two sets 25–20, 25–20 before Rockets attempted a fightback, taking the third set 25–23. Correctional Service, however, sealed the match with a 25–17 win in the fourth set.

In one of the most pulsating matches of the day, Nigeria Police came from two sets down to defeat COAS Spikers 3–2. COAS took an early lead (25–22, 25–20), but Police staged a dramatic comeback, snatching the next three sets 25–22, 25–23, and 15–13 to seal a remarkable turnaround.

In the women’s, COAS Spikers dominated NAF Rockets in a 3–0 victory, winning 25–13, 25–20, and 25–15. Their disciplined defensive setup and efficient attacks kept Rockets at bay.

Life Camp posted a strong 3–0 performance against Wikki Queens, claiming the sets 25–23, 25–18, and 25–20. The match showcased Life Camp’s superior coordination and tactical execution.

NSCDC women’s team delivered a commanding 3–0 win over Olalomi Royal Spikers. They sealed the sets 25–18, 25–18, and 25–10, outclassing their opponents in every department.

Nigeria Customs Service women’s team secured a comfortable 3–0 victory over Anambra Queens. Customs maintained control from start to finish, winning 25–13, 25–14, and 25–21.

Benue Queens capped the day with an impressive 3–0 win against Kada Emeralds. They held off Emeralds 26–24 in a tight first set before easing through the next two sets 25–18 and 25–23.

The competition continues to intensify as teams push for top positions in the final phase of the 2025 CGC Volleyball Premier League. More action is expected as the tournament enters its decisive days
