The 2025 CGC Volleyball Premier League final phase delivered another round of intense action on Day 7, with top contenders asserting dominance as the battle for podium places tightened across both the men’s and women’s divisions.
In men’s results,the day opened with a major upset as Sunshine Spikers defeated Kada Kings 3–1 in a charged encounter. Kada Kings took the first set 25–20, but the Spikers mounted a strong comeback, winning the next three sets 25–15, 25–22 and 25–22 to seal the match.
In another hard-fought fixture, CNS Spikers overcame Nigeria Police 3–1. CNS took the first two sets 25–17 and 25–20 before Police responded with a 25–16 win in the third. However, CNS closed the contest with a 25–20 finish in the fourth set.
UCEM recorded one of the day’s most clinical performances, sweeping COAS Spikers 3–0 (25–18, 25–22, 26–24) in a match that showcased their superior composure in crucial moments.
The Nigeria Customs Service continued their impressive campaign, securing a commanding 3–0 victory over NSCDC. Customs controlled all three sets with scores of 25–22, 25–20 and 25–11, reinforcing their title credentials.
In another exciting match, Kano Pillars came from behind to defeat NAF Rockets 3–1. After losing the opening set 22–25, Pillars rallied back to win the next three sets 25–20, 25–17 and 26–24.
Day 7 wrapped up with Nigeria Correctional Service stunning Offa VC 3–1. Correctional Service took the first two sets 25–20 and 25–20.
Offa VC fought back with a 25–21 win in the third, but Correctional Service sealed victory with a decisive 25–14 fourth set.
In the women’s results , Life Camp dominated Anambra Queens 3–0 in straight sets, winning 26–24, 25–14 and 25–19.
Benue Queens also delivered a strong performance as they overpowered Olalomi Royal Queens 3–0. The Makurdi-based side held firm in a tightly contested match, taking the sets 26–24, 25–21 and 25–20.
One of the most one-sided matches of the day saw CNS Spikers dismantle Wikki Queens 3–0. CNS produced a flawless outing with commanding set victories of 25–8, 25–11 and 25–15.
The highly anticipated clash between NAF Rockets and Nigeria Customs Service ended 3–1 in favour of Customs. After dropping the first set 25–20, Customs bounced back to dominate the next three sets 25–16, 25–14 and 25–14.
The final match of the women’s fixtures saw COAS Spikers defeat NSCDC 3–1. NSCDC took the opening set 25–16, but COAS stormed back to claim the remaining sets 25–17, 25–15 and 30–28 in an intense fourth-set battle.
A total of 23 teams are participating at the ongoing 2025 Comptroller General of Customs Volleyball Premier League final phase.
