City Football Club of Abuja is set to officially unveil its 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) campaign with a grand ceremony scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch, Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
Speaking ahead of the launch, Chidi Okoronkwo, Chairman of the Club said , the event will feature the official presentation of the team’s home and away jerseys.
The league kits for players and officials, and a series of activities designed to celebrate the dawn of a new season for,”The Citizens.”
He highlights the unveiling ceremony will include live music performances, an exhibition match, and refreshments for invited guests and fans.
The event is expected to attract top football personalities, supporters, and partners of the club.
“ The club gained promotion to the NNL, the second tier of Nigerian football, a celebration of our growth, vision, and readiness to compete.
“We are inviting all our fans and football lovers in Abuja to come out in their numbers, wear our colors, and witness history as City FC Abuja steps into a new era,” he said.
The club encouraged supporters to follow the excitement online using the hashtags #CityFCAbuja, #TheUnveiling, #NewSeason, and #AbujaFootball.
City FC won the 2025 Nigerian Football Coaches Association (NFCA) FCT NLO/NNL Preseason Tournament, defeating EFCC FC 1–0 in the final.
Recalled that the 2025/2026 NNL season, which begins November 8, the Governor of Nasarawa State, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, will be the special guest of honor at the opening match of the League season opener at the Lafia City Stadium, will see Lafia-based FC Basira taking on Mighty Jets of Jos in a Conference C encounter.
