The Flamingos on Tuesday opened scoring in just 2 minutes as goalkeeper Elizabeth Boniface sent a long ball to Shakirat Moshood, who set up Mariam Yahaya to chip the goalkeeper for the lead.
Paraguay equalised in the 15th minute after a defensive error from Christiana Sunday gifted them a goal.
Yahaya struck again in the 44th minute to restore Nigeria’s lead, then completed her hat-trick a minute later after a fine pass from Kaosarat Olanrewaju. 3–1 at halftime.
The Flamingos dominated the second half, with Shakirat Moshood and Ayomide Abubakar testing the goalkeeper, while Sylvia Echefu (sub) made key saves.
Paraguay pulled one back late, but Nigeria held firm for a 3–2 win. Their 12th friendly, scoring 50 goals and conceding just 6.
The team now moves to Rabat on Wednesday morning ahead of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, starting October 17.
