NVBF Election : New Technical Rep Vows to Elevate Nigerian Volleyball,Samuel pledge

Timothy Samuel ,the newly elected Technical Representative of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) and current Chairman of the Nigeria Volleyball Referees Association (NVRA), is determined to take Nigerian volleyball to the next level.

According to him, all untouched areas in volleyball will be addressed and  vowed to propel Nigerian volleyball to unprecedented success.


Leveraging his experience as the chairman of the NVRA and international referee.

“ When I became the chairman of NVRA, I digitalized NVRA and implemented several changes. I intend to bring the same approach to the board,” he said.

Recently, Nigeria hosted the African Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Abuja, which was a high-class event.

“ The successful hosting of the African Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Abuja, describing it as a “high-class event.”

“ However, I believes that Nigeria needs to work harder to excel in the sport,” he said .

He commended President Musa Nimrod’s efforts, particularly the establishment of the Musa Nimrod 16-19 program, which aims to develop young talent.

Samuel is optimistic about Nigeria’s future in volleyball, citing the talent pool from various regions.

“ With a talent pool from various regions, including Kaduna, South-West, South-East, South-South, and North-East, am optimistic about Nigeria’s future in volleyball.


“ I aims to collaborate with coaches and other stakeholders to develop the game and emphasizes the importance of teamwork and selecting individuals with clear motives and vision,” he said.

He expressed commitment to volleyball, stating that even without his new role, he would still be involved in the sport as an international referee.

“ Attributes  his victory to God’s grace and is determined to make a positive impact on Nigerian volleyball,” he said.

Samuel concludes, ‘Even if I hadn’t won the election, I’m still a Nigerian and a part of the federation. As an international referee, I’ll continue to officiate volleyball. God’s victory makes me stand firm.

Samuel’s leadership could potentially elevate Nigerian volleyball to new heights and bring success to the sport.
