Opobo/Nkoro (Rives), Sept. 11, 2025- Mr James James, Chairman, Opobo/ Nkoro local government area in Rivers has restated commitment to infrastructure development as he flagged off construction of  7.5. Km Nkoro – Kirika internal road.

James during the flagg-off in Opobo town on Tuesday, James pledged his administration’s readiness to deliver good governance at the grassroots.

He noted that the project when completed would enhance rural economy, transportation as well as connect communities in the the area.

He also said that project expected to begin as soon as possible would be strictly monitored to ensure standards and specifications.

“My administration is committed to providing people oriented projects anchored on visible development and this project represnts a new era in infrastructure renewal, and a testimerment of our visionary leadership,” he said.

The council Boss however, called on Chiefs, community leaders and youths in the area to cooperate with the contractors to ensure hitch-free operations.

Also speaking, Engr. Israel Genesis, Managing Director, Raymitek Construction Company, an indigenous construction firm handling the project assured on company’s determination to deliver quality job in line with global best practice.

“The volume of machineries, manpower, and expertise at our disposal is enough to make this project a huge success,” he said.
