We’re Optimistic About Winning subsequent matches – Adamawa Spikers Captain

Adamawa Spikers Captain Joyce  Avom expressed optimism about the team’s chances of winning their upcoming match against Federal Road Safety volleyball club.at the ongoing  2025 National Division I Volleyball League, Vipers Volleyball Club (VC) in Abuja.

The match, played at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Package B, in Abuja,on Friday.

Avom said that the team has had a mixed performance so far, winning three and losing three out of six games.

Despite the challenges, Avom believes that the team can perform well in their remaining matches.

She also expressed gratitude to the governor for providing the opportunity for the team to participate in the competition outside of Adamawa State.

This marks the first time a female team from Adamawa State has participated in a competition of this caliber.

“We are proud to be participating in Division 1, and it’s a great experience for our team. It’s been a challenge, but we are  coping well with the teammates and the crowd.

“ The boys are participating in Division 1 and Division 2.,” she said.

Avom noted that it’s normal for there to be winners and losers in competitions, and the team is hoping to do better in their next game.

The team is scheduled to play Federal Road Safety later in the evening, although the exact timing is uncertain due to the conjunction of teams.

Avom expressed optimism that the team will perform well in their upcoming matches.

On her part ,Captain Rihanna Suileman of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) team described the team’s performance as average, saying it’s “not too good, not too bad.”

The team has played five matches, winning three and losing two. Despite the mixed results, Suileman is optimistic about the team’s future prospects.

The NIS team started strong with a 3-0 victory in their first match but lost their second match. However, they bounced back to win two matches today.

Suileman encouraged her teammates to maintain their synergy and keep working together.

“ Let’s keep playing more, we can do more and we still have six games left to play.

When asked about the organizers, Suileman reiterated her earlier assessment – “not too good, not too bad.”
