The Nigeria Volleyball Federation, in partnership with the Chief of Defence Staff, is set to host the 2025 edition of the National volleyball League phase one for Division One and Two in Abuja.
The event will take place at the indoor hall of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja from August 11 to 19 .
The league will feature intense competition among Nigeria’s top volleyball teams, with both the men’s and women’s categories showcasing some of the most thrilling action the sport has to offer.
A technical meeting is scheduled for Monday, during which fixtures will be drawn and teams will know their first opponents in what is expected to be another successful and exciting competition.
The event comes just days after Nigeria’s impressive performance at the 2025 CAVB U-18 Beach Volleyball Continental Championship, which was concluded on Thursday.
The nation’s female teams struck gold and silver, while the boys clinched bronze.
The Gambia’s boys emerged as continental champions in a championship that showcased youthful talent, world-class organisation, and an electrifying atmosphere.
The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) is the governing body for these leagues.
