Barau Football Club have announced the signing of six new players as part of efforts to reinforce their squad ahead of the second stanza of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
The new acquisitions were officially unveiled on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, by the club’s General Manager, Dominic Iorfa, in the company of Vice President, Kabiru Baita.
Speaking during the unveiling ceremony, the club’s management charged the players to give their best both on and off the pitch, stressing the importance of discipline, commitment, and professionalism in driving the club’s growth and success.
Leading the mid-season signings is highly rated midfielder Ebuka Nwokorie, formerly of Kun Khalifat FC. Nwokorie has been in impressive form this season, scoring six goals in the ongoing NPFL campaign.
Also unveiled were Moses Tsehuan, a centre-back signed from Nasarawa United; Akpo Godwin, a centre forward from Attack Energy FC of Afghanistan; Ezeonye Henry, a centre forward from Kun Khalifat FC; Uche Moses, a left winger also from Kun Khalifat FC; and Nwaodu Chukwudi, an attacking midfielder who joins from Enyimba FC.
The club confirmed that all six players have agreed to two-year contracts, which will keep them at Barau FC until 2028.
Supporters of the Maliya Boys have expressed excitement and anticipation ahead of the NPFL second stanza, as they look forward to seeing the new signings feature in the club’s colours.
