Doma united FC also known as the Savannah tigers continued to prove their stands in the Nigeria National League match day 4 after putting one of the most resilient performance to earned another point on the road against Basira fc at the Lafiya City Stadium, Nasarawa State on Saturday, 6th December, 2025.
The match which attracted supporters of both clubs saw Doma utd commanding the game from the moment the referee blow his whistle for the kick off.
Both side tried to break the deadlock untill the 16 minutes of the game when Ramadan Bashir opens the scoring from a curled left footed effort that goes beyond FC Basira’s goal keeper to give Doma utd a must deserved lead.
However, in the 25′ minutes, a most dramatic and controversial penalty decision was taken against Doma utd after it was adjudged that one of Doma utd players handled the ball in the 18 yard box and the referee (Rayyanu Abubakar from Plateau State referees council) awarded a penalty kick which was converted by Emma ILiya for the home side to restore parity.
The decision didnt went well for the technical crew of Doma utd and it was well protested.
The match continue after the protest, before the centre referee blew his whistle for a half time break to mark the end of the first half.
On resumption the leading goal scorer of Doma utd, Mathew Micheal Ogenyi with two 2 goals found the back of the net in the 47′ minutes of the second half after beating two of his markers to give Doma Utd another lead to raise his tally to three goals for the Savannah Tigers.
The home side continue to capitalise on set pieces awarded in a most controversial way by the centre referee that eventually paid off in the 89′ minutes of the game that led to an equaliser for the home side from Jamilu Sani’s effort
Doma utd continued to show their resilience to the last minutes of the game before the centre referee blew his final whistle to mark the end of the game after a 9 minutes additional time.
