KANO STATE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION PAYS MATCH OFFICIALS THEIR ENTITLEMENTS FOR AHLAN LEAGUE ONE & TWO

Today, Thursday, 4th December 2025, the Kano State Football Association, under the leadership of its Chairman, Alhaji Sharif Rabiu Inuwa Ahlan (MON, OON), Sardaunan Makaman Bichi, has fully paid the Kano State Referees Council all their outstanding match officiating allowances for the Ahlan League One and Ahlan League Two competitions.

The total number of matches officiated in the two leagues is 267, and the Chairman confirmed that all payments have been completed with no outstanding debt between the Kano State FA and the Kano State Referees Council.

He commended the referees for their 100% commitment, discipline, and integrity, applauding their efforts in ensuring fairness and maintaining the credibility of the competitions. According to him, the absence of complaints from participating clubs is clear evidence of the referees’ professionalism.

He also praised the leadership of the Referees Council under the chairmanship of Auwalu Ali Headmaster, alongside his deputy Garba Hamza Garba (Iyan Garba), for their dedication and effective supervision which contributed immensely to the overall success of the two leagues.

The Chairman further stated that this year’s competitions were well-organized, transparent, and successful, adding that the positive feedback received from all quarters confirms the credibility of the leagues.

Also today, Thursday, 4th December 2025, the Kano State Tofa Premier qualifying playoffs officially came to an end, with eight (8) teams successfully qualifying for the prestigious league. Unlike previous seasons that recorded several complaints, this year’s playoffs ended peacefully and successfully with no protest recorded.

He urged the Kano State Referees Council to continue upholding the image and dignity of their association wherever they operate.

Finally, he appreciated all football clubs in Kano State for their cooperation and support, noting that such unity enables the Kano State Football Association to operate effectively and promote football development in the state.

He also extended his gratitude to the entire football-loving people of Kano State for their continuous support, stating that their contributions play a major role in the progress of football in Kano State.
