The maiden edition of the Oloyin Under-15 Junior Inter-School Softball Championship, organised in conjunction with the Kwara State Baseball and Softball Association, is scheduled to take place on December 11 and 12, 2025.
The two-day event will be held at the Adewole International Baseball Park in Ilorin, bringing together young talents from various schools to compete and showcase their skills in the fast-growing sport.
Speaking ahead of the championship, the convener, Mr Bolaji Oloyin, said the initiative aims to further sustain awareness about softball and encourage more young people to develop interest in the game.
He noted that the competition is part of ongoing efforts to deepen grassroots participation and nurture future stars in the sport.
The organisers expressed optimism that the championship will not only promote healthy competition among students but also strengthen the foundation of softball development in Kwara State.
