The 2025 Beach volleyball Star/Open Tour, the third in the series is taking place at Adamawa State Polytechnic,Yola has served off ,This year’s edition is put together by the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) with support from the Adamawa State Government.
President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engr. Musa Nimord who is also the President of Africa Beach Volleyball Federation in his remarks, said that the tour is aimed at selecting players for the National team and also encourage Youths to take part in sporting activities.
Nimord, represented by the Zonal Chairman of Volleyball Federation and Chairman Beach Volleyball Commission in Nigeria, DCP Stephen Hasso, noted that the federation has put everything on ground to make this edition a success.
” Let me thank the governor and the people of Adamawa State for giving us all the needed support.
“So far, we have about 21 teams both stars and open for male and female teams across the country.
“We hope the players will make best use of the world standard facilities on ground in SPY, Yola.
“I urge the players, officials and officiating officials to play by the rules of the, he added that ” Nigeria Beach Volleyball team is second best in Africa and I hope we can identify stars that will take to first position in Africa”. He said.
Declaring the Beach Volleyball Star/Open Tour, the Director Sports, Adamawa State congratulated all teams for making it to Yola.
He assured them of government’s continuous support for sports development in Adamawa.
In the opening matches played on Monday, Adamawa Team 1 Vs Borno NEL Team 1 male ended two straight set in favour of Adamawa Team 1.
In the second game at the second court, Taraba Team 1 defeated Boron NEL Team 2 by two straight sets.

While the third match of the day between Wikki Bauchi and Kada Prince, ended two straight wins in favour of Wikki Bauchi.
