The Nationwide League One outfit, Best Talent Football Club of Mowe, Ogun State on Thursday stunned Imprrial Football Club 2-1at Odogbolu pitch.
The mutch awaited football rivalry produced a shocking results and momentum swings between the two sides as Adeyinka Adeyemo’s side silencing their hosts with a painful defeat.
According to Coach Farouk Yusuf who leads the Mowe giants with outstanding performances this season, he said the results reshaped the early-season narrative, as the traditional powerhouses in the nation’s third tier league in Ogun side continue to outwith each other ahead of the new season
The high ultitude pressure led to an own goal for Imperial FC before Abiola sealing the victory for Best Talent with a consolatory goal from the homers. A cagey first half was noticeable but a coolly close range shot from the visitors ahead did the magic.
The home side showed greater composure after trailing Mowe giants 1-2 but there was last time out to struggle for leveler in front of their vociferous fans as Best Talent magnanimously rented the show in another man’s soil.
Speaking with the journalists after another away victory, former Coca-Cola coach, Farouk Yusuf said the response of his lads was impressive and he identified areas that need to work on in the team before the new season commences.
“The response of my boys today was impressive. They are well discipline and full of energy and these are the hallmark of Success for any club that builds players like Best Talent does in Nigeria. Coaches cannot do it alone without good response from players. Never, therefore, my boys deserve a pat.”. He posited.
The result has now pushed Best Talent FC on 18 wins, 2 losses and 3 draws which highlight their strong mindsets ahead of the forthcoming season
