The curtains have fallen on the 8th edition of the Sheroes Cup, and once again, Remo Ladies FC proved their dominance, emerging as back-to-back champions after another impressive run in Abuja. The Ogun State-based side showcased consistency, resilience, and attacking brilliance throughout the week-long pre-season tournament, finishing top of the table with 13 points from five matches.

Remo Ladies, who entered the tournament as defending champions, sealed their title defense with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Confluence Queens in their final fixture. The result ensured they maintained a perfect record of four wins and one draw, ending the campaign unbeaten with an enviable +13 goal difference — a testament to their firepower and solid defensive setup.

Their triumph marks a continuation of the club’s steady rise in women’s football under coach Mathew Wemimo, reinforcing Remo Ladies’ status as one of the emerging forces in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) ecosystem.

Closely following the champions were Ekiti Queens, who also had a stellar outing. They wrapped up their campaign with a 1–0 win over Naija Ratels, finishing second with 11 points and a healthy +8 goal difference. The team, led by experienced midfielder Amarachi Okoronkwo, displayed great tactical balance and team chemistry throughout the competition, positioning themselves as one of the most improved sides of the tournament.

Hosts Naija Ratels, despite their spirited performances, couldn’t convert dominance into goals when it mattered most. They settled for third place with 7 points, while Confluence Queens of Kogi finished fourth on 4 points, edging Dannaz Ladies on goal difference.

Dannaz Ladies, who had shown flashes of brilliance — notably their 4–1 win over FCT Ladies on the final day — were undone by inconsistency and defensive lapses. Meanwhile, FCT Ladies endured a difficult tournament, managing just one win in five games and finishing bottom with 3 points and a –14 goal difference.
