Nasarawa United’s chairman presents club kits to state Attorney General

Chairman of Nasarawa United FC, Solomon Babanjah, on Monday, officially unveiled the team’s new football league season’s kits to the State Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, in the latter’s office in Lafia.

Joined by Board Member and Director of Media and Communications of the Club, Eche Amos, the Chairman stated that the new kits, designed by China-based Elite King Sportswears’ Company, reflect the team’s vibrant spirit and identity.

He stressed that the gesture was in appreciation of the Commissioner’s steadfast and immense support and solidarity which have been instrumental to the Club’s success.

In his remarks, the State’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, commended the Club’s Management, players and officials for their outstanding performance in the current 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League Season, which has brought both pride and honour to the State and her people.

“Let me use this opportunity to appreciate you and your management for finding time to come and present these beautiful sets of jerseys of your club to me.

“Thank you for remembering me, and let it be on record that I will never take this for granted.

“I am so delighted with the performance of the team which is a clear indication that we left a good legacy.

“I appreciate the Governor for always supporting the team, both financially and morally to achieve success.

“Let me also commend my colleague and brother, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, for always keeping tabs with what the club is doing, supporting them with his presence, funds and morally.

“Above all, my deepest gratitude goes to the players who have been making us proud. Nasarawa United FC has taken the bold step of being the league’s leaders, and by the grace of God, we should end the session as Champions,” Danladi stated.

While wishing the team success in the games ahead, the State Attorney General warned of momentary satisfaction, urging the club’s members to remain consistent with their current form until the end of the season to stand a chance of winning the league title.

In a gesture of appreciation, the Commissioner presented the team with a cash sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira(N500,000.00) to be shared amongst the Management, Players and Officials of Nasarawa United, applauding their focus, teamwork and hard work towards achieving excellence in the League.

Barr. Danladi served Nasarawa United at various capacities, including as Secretary, and Chairman, spanning over twelve years before being appointed as Permanent Secretary of the State’s Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, and recently as Commissioner by Governor Abdullahi Sule.

Nasarawa United currently tops the ongoing 2025/26 NPFL table with nineteen points from nine matches.
