Sunday Megwo bagged his second league goal of the season, As Abia Warriors bounced back to winning ways, following a comfortable 2-0 win over Barau FC, in a NPFL Matchday 10 encounter.
The encounter, which was decided at the Umuahia Township Stadium, saw Megwo doubled the host lead 2-0, in the 61st minute, when he slotted home a loosed ball from the visitors defence to struck it home.
Speaking shortly after the encounter, Megwo revealed that it was a solid team performance and a well deserved three points at home.
” Yes, I’m happy that we won the game and deserve to secure the maximum points, which we did. I think we played really well throughout the game and I believe there is more to come.”
” Of course, it wasn’t an easy game against Barau FC, we knew that before the game, but we showed character and determination which helped to secure the maximum points . But it is a massive three points for us,” he concluded.
The Umuahia-Born goal poacher, has scored two goals and one assist in four league appearances for Abia Warriors this season.
