NIS to partner freestyle football in training of coaches, athletes

The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute for Sports, H. E. Comrade Philip Shaibu  said the institution is ready to partner the organizers of the Freestyle football tournament in training of their coaches and athletes.

The NIS Boss who is also the immediate past Deputy Governor of Edo State said his vision in the institute is aligned with the initiative of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu Renewed Hope agenda especially with regards to promoting grassroots talent and sports development, youth engagement, employment creation and overall economic and wealth generation.

Speaking at the grand finale of the Nigeria Freestyle football championship held at Ikeja City Mall, Lagos said the athletes demonstrated commitment hence the NIS is ready in developing grassroots sports and youth empowerment.

“With freestylers from across the nation competing, it promises a vibrant showcase of creativity, athleticism, and cultural pride which is of great value and concern to us at NIS. With what I saw today, we will partner with you people in training of your coaches athletes and discovery of young athletes or talent across Nigeria.”

Meanwhile, VALENTINE OZIGB Chairman of Feet ‘N’ Tricks Limited, Africa’s leading promoter of freestyle football said he was highly honored to have invited the DG CEO NIS to the Grand Finale of the Nigeria Freestyle Football Championship
