Nasarawa United Chairman Presents Clubs Official Jersey to State’s Deputy Governors , Akabe

The Chairman of Nasarawa United FC,on Thursday, presented the Club’s official 2025/26 Nigeria Football Season’s jerseys to the Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, at the Deputy Governor’s office in Lafia.

Accompanied by the Team Manager, Musa Adamu, and Director of Media, Eche Amos, the Chairman said the act was premised on appreciating the Deputy Governor for his sustained support and commitment towards the success of the team.

In his response, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, said he was delighted to receive the kits and impressed with the current performance of the Solid Miners in the current campaign of the NPFL wherein the team is sitting atop the table after eight games, a development he added could be sustained until the end of the season going by the Government’s unflinching support in all spheres.

Akabe commended every member of the Club and critical stakeholders for working in synergy to push the Club into success.

Among the kits presented to the Deputy Governor were the home, away and alternate coloured jerseys.

In the meantime, Chairman of Nasarawa United FC, Solomon Babanjah, has commended one of his Board Members and Welfare Officer of the Club, Usman Ibn Umar, for magnanimously donating sneakers to every member of the club, including players, coaches, management members, and backroom staff.

The Chairman who received the donated items before handing same to the team’s Captain, King Osanga, and Technical Adviser, Mangut Mbwas, said he was overwhelmed by the gesture, emphasizing that the footwears would add to the uniqueness, fashion and comfort of the beneficiaries and boost the team’s image, stressing that the Club welcomes supports, partnerships and sponsorships, where necessary, to ease the burdens on the Government who remains the sole financier of the team.

In his remarks, the Welfare Officer, Usman Umar Ibn disclosed that the gesture was part of his meagre contributions towards boosting the team’s morale to sustain the excellent tempo it currently enjoys in the elite domestic football league.

Additionally, ahead of Nasarawa United’s visit to Ikorodu City FC in Lagos this weekend, the Chairman of Nasarawa United FC, Solomon Babanjah, has contributed travel wears to the travelling delegation.

According to him, the kits will give uniqueness and sense of pride to the team en route to prosecute league games.

Previously, the Team Manager, Musa Adamu, and Technical Adviser, Mangut Mbwas, donated training kits to the team as part of their supports to the club’s success.

Sitting on the summit of the NPFL table with nineteen points from eight games, Nasarawa United are in high hopes as they travel to Lagos this weekend to engage 8th-placed Ikorodu City FC who have eleven points, on match-day nine.

The Ikorodu City FC versus Nasarawa United game comes up on Sunday, 19th October, 2025, by 4pm at the ten thousand capacity historic multi-purpose Mobolaji Olufunsho Johnson’s Arena, formerly known as Onikan Stadium, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island.
