Ogun State Government has appealed to sports enthusiasts to come out in large numbers to watch and support Nigeria flag bearer Kwara United in the second leg of CAF Confederation league against the Asante Kotoko of Ghana at the MKO Sports Arena, Kuto, Abeokuta, tomorrow.
The match slated for 4pm is the second leg of the CAF Confederation after the Nigerian team lost 4 goals to 3 in the first leg played in Ghana.
The Afonja warriors had chosen the MKO Abiola Sports Arena owing to the ongoing renovations at the Rashidi Yekini stadium that could not meet up with the second leg.
The Commissioner for Sports Development, Mr Wasiu Isiaka stated that the CAF Confederation leg match is part of the dividends of the recent National Sports Festival, showcasing the arena as a premier venue for high-profile matches.
Mr Isiaka encouraged residents within and outside Abeokuta, the state capital, and Ogun State in general, to come out in large numbers to enjoy exciting football between Kwara United and Asante Kotoko of Ghana.
