The Kano State Government has announced a strategic partnership with BrandEscort Communications, a leading brand and event marketing company, to host Cycling Kano 2025, a landmark sporting event designed to promote healthy living, tourism, and youth engagement in the state.
This is Scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, the event will bring together professional cyclists, fitness enthusiasts, and sports lovers from across the country. Kicking off from the Sani Abacha Stadium, the cycling fiesta will also showcase Kano’s rich cultural heritage, economic opportunities, and vibrant hospitality.
Speaking on the preparations, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Sports Development, Sani Musa Danja, said the event, themed “Health and Wellness,” is designed to encourage healthy lifestyles among cycling enthusiasts, corporate executives, professionals, and young people across the state.
“We recognize the significant benefits of this event, which include promoting healthy competition among corporate organizations and young people, discovering and nurturing cycling talent, and elevating the status of cycling as a major sport in Nigeria,” Danja said.
He added that the Ministry of Youth and Sports would coordinate relevant government agencies, secure the race route, enhance logistics, and ensure funding for the event, working closely with the Kano State Cycling Association and other stakeholders.
On his part, the Managing Director of BrandEscort Communications, Bamidele Adeleye, expressed gratitude to the state government for the collaboration, noting that the partnership highlights the role of public-private engagement in sports development.

Highlights of the event will include a Mini Tour of Kano, competitive races, fun rides for families and amateurs, cultural displays, and an exhibition of local products and services. Thousands of participants from within and outside Kano State are expected, further reinforcing Kano’s position as a gateway to Northern Nigeria.
