The President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod, on Sunday has appealed for peaceful conduct ahead of the federation’s elections scheduled for Monday in Abuja.
Nimrod emphasized the importance of collaboration among candidates, regardless of the election outcome.
He stressed that elections are a “give and take” process, and winners and losers must work together for the federation’s success.
Highlighted that the effectiveness and participation of all board members matter significantly in the federation’s overall performance.
According to him, the Nigeria Volleyball Federation’s constitution allows for co-opting people into various committees, which can enhance the federation’s operations,” he said
He expressed satisfaction with the current state of volleyball in Nigeria, acknowledging that some areas have competitions, but this is normal in any politics.
Nimrod welcomed the fact that several candidates are running unopposed, which he believes is a positive development.
Nimrod’s call for peaceful conduct aims to ensure a smooth electoral process and promote unity within the Nigeria Volleyball Federation.
The elections are part of the National Sports Federations Elections scheduled to take place in Abuja, with the National Sports Commission supervising the process.
