The Fix PDP, Fix Nigeria Group has issued a strong warning to Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, and former Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, cautioning them to desist from interfering in the internal affairs of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a statement released in Delta State, spokesperson of the group, Efe Moses, noted that both Okowa and Governor Sheriff have openly aligned themselves with the All Progressives Congress (APC), and therefore have no moral or political justification to meddle in the affairs of the PDP.
“Governor Sheriff and Okowa should leave us alone. They have crossed over to APC, and as such, they cannot continue to dictate or manipulate the direction of PDP. The rightful authority of the party in Delta State rests with the PDP Secretariat in Asaba, and that is where all party structures and decisions must return,” Moses stated.
He accused the duo of deliberately trying to destabilize the PDP in Delta State for selfish political reasons, stressing that such interference will no longer be tolerated.
“They should stop parading themselves as PDP leaders when their loyalty now lies elsewhere. The era of double loyalty is over. Since they have moved to APC, they should face their new political home and leave PDP in peace,” he added.
The Fix PDP, Fix Nigeria group reaffirmed its determination to defend the unity and integrity of the party against every form of external sabotage, while calling on all PDP faithful to stand firm and resist attempts to weaken the party from within or outside.
