The Management of Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin Football Club has announced that the team will officially resume for the new season on Sunday, August 31, 2025, with training and player screening scheduled to commence on Monday, September 1, 2025.
In a statement issued after the club’s management meeting held on Monday, August 25, 2025, the Director of Football, Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka, confirmed that the deadline for players to report is Thursday, September 4, 2025.
He stressed that any player who fails to report by the deadline will not be considered for inclusion in the squad for the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) campaign.
Chief Chukwuemeka reiterated the management’s determination to ensure adequate preparation for the new season, noting that the NNL promises to be highly competitive.
“The club has set a clear target of securing promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). To achieve this, discipline, commitment, and early preparation are non-negotiable. We expect all players and technical staff to align with these objectives,” he stated.
The club further assured its supporters and stakeholders that all necessary structures are being put in place to deliver a successful and competitive season.
