Bayelsa Queens arrives Cote d’ Ivoire

Bayelsa Queens FC, also known as the Prosperity Girls, have arrived Abidjan, in preparation for the WAFU Zone B, CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers and will proceed to Yamoussoukro where the qualifiers will take place.

The team led by Coach Whyte Ogbonda will have a training session today before moving to the venue of the tournament on Friday. The team before they left for Abidjan, has been working on their style of play, discipline and team spirit.

The Prosperity Girls are drawn in Group B alongside Police Ladies of Ghana, ASKO of Togo and Sam Nelly of Benin Republic. The team has been working on their skills and tactical understanding under Coach Whyte.

The tournament will run from August 23 to September 5, 2025.

Bayelsa Queens will play against Police Ladies of Ghana in their first game on the 24th of August, 2025.

Chairman of the club, Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala said they are in Cote d’ for real business as they are battle ready to make the Country proud.
