Mallam Bashir Badawiy, General Manager of Kwara United Football Club and Coordinator of the ValueJet Preseason Tournament has shared updates on the team’s recent performance and upcoming matches.
The GM said this at a birthday celebration of some members of Gbonri Republic, Barr. Bamidele Aluko, Alhaji Owolabi Agbaji Wopa, and Ibitoye Shitu last night.
Kwara United recently participated in the ValueJet Preseason Tournament, where they had a commendable performance.
The team is now preparing for their NPFL opening match against Ikorodu and a continental match against Ashanti Kotoko of Ghana.
Mallam Bashir Badawiy expressed gratitude to God for the team’s safe return to Ilorin after their tournament outing.
He emphasized the importance of recognizing and celebrating individual contributions to the team’s success.
Mallam Bashir Badawiy also revealed that he’ll be turning 50 soon and plans to celebrate with the team.
“Under the leadership of Chairman Kumbi Titiloye, Kwara United has secured continental tickets twice for Kwara State over the last five years” he said
He also praised the state governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his support, thanking the Emir of Ilorin and the Olofa of Ofa for their royal blessings.
The General Manager expressed confidence in the team’s ability to achieve more than they did last year, while emphasizing the importance of support from fans, well-wishers, and sports writers in helping the team succeed.
