The Head of the Broadcast Media Unit and Technical Assistant (Broadcast Media) to the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Arabinrin Aderonke Atoyebi ANIPR, has received the prestigious 2024 FIRS Chairman’s Award— the highest individual honour in the Service, selected from over 13,000 staff.

Atoyebi was recognised for her exceptional role in shaping and enhancing the public image of FIRS, a contribution that has strengthened the organisation’s communication strategy and public engagement.

The award was presented by the Executive Chairman of FIRS, Zacch Adedeji, represented by the Coordinating Director, Support Services Group, Muhammad Lawal Abubakar, during a ceremony held at the Los Angeles Event Center, Abuja, on Thursday, August 14.

Commending her dedication and professionalism, Adedeji noted that media representation is a critical aspect of public service, adding that Atoyebi’s work has ensured FIRS’s activities are clearly communicated and understood by stakeholders.

In her remarks, Atoyebi described the award as an unexpected and emotional milestone in her career.

I was incredibly honoured to receive the 2024 Chairman’s Award — the biggest award in FIRS. I was emotional, grateful, and proud. I never saw it coming; it was a huge surprise. This moment is a testament to smart work, teamwork, dedication, and passion,” she said.

She expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Chairman, the EC Awards team, and her colleagues for their support and encouragement, noting that the honour serves as fresh motivation to embrace new challenges and make an even greater impact.

“This award is not just a celebration of past efforts, but an inspiration for the future. The journey continues — and the best is yet to come,” she added.
