Over 50 Club sides have registered for the 2025 Delta State Football League.
The league is expected to kick off next month across the state with several scouts from within and outside the state expected to throng the state during the month long competition.
The Chairman of the Delta State Football Association Chief Godwin Adode who revealed this said the DFA was keen on taking football to the heights stressing that it was in line with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda mantra especially in sports.
Chief Adode said that the league which had continued to attract football stakeholders from within and outside the state was aimed at taking talented footballers off the streets of the State as well as engendering peace across the state.
He also averred that this year’s league would be the biggest in the history of the states league as over 50 clubs have already registered for this year’s edition.
