Players and officials of the victorious D’Tigress team are still basking in the Euphoria of the Presidential reception that was accorded them by the Federal Government on Monday in Abuja, as they return from conquering the continent in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Presidency through the combined and solidarity efforts of the Ministry of Women Affairs, the Ministry of Art, Culture and Creative economy, the Ministry of Finance and the National Sports Commission put up a world class dinner and an unforgettable after-party experience to celebrate the girls.
The Girls showed up their dancing skills on the dancefloor as they were thrilled with the performances of top artistes like Timi Dakolo, 9ice , Konga and Face of the defunct Plantain boys.
It was an unforgettable night for the African Champions and according to the longest serving member of the team Sarah Ogoke, she describes the welcome and reception as her biggest moment playing for Nigeria for the past 10 years.
The players and officials of the team have still not recovered from the largesse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, bestowed on them.
The reception was a further icing on the cake for the girls as they continued to enjoy the goodwill and reception from both the Government institutions and corporate bodies alike.
