Nigeria’s young athletes are making waves in the 1st African School Sports Championships, with impressive performances in swimming, badminton, and table, tennis, and badminton.

The Nigerian swimming team has qualified for the finals of several events, including the 400M IM Girls, 200M Breaststroke Boys, 800M Freestyle Girls, and 200M Butterfly Girls.

Nigeria will participate in the finals of the following swimming events later today:

– 400M IM Girls: 4:00 pm

– 200M Breaststroke Boys: 5:00 pm

– 800M Freestyle Girls:5:15 pm

– 200M Butterfly Girls: 5:30 pm

– Medal Presentation:5:45 pm

Nigeria’s badminton team has qualified for the semifinals after defeating Egypt to top their group. They will face Ghana at 3:00 pm today.

Nigeria’s table tennis players have had a mixed day, with some advancing to the next round and others bowing out.

Ayatulla Ahmed won 3-0 progressed to the round of 16, while Masibau Faisat has made it to the quarterfinals.

With these results, Ayatulla Ahmed has advanced to the round of 16, while Masibau Faisat has moved to the quarterfinals (round of 8). The games will resume in the afternoon.
