City FC Set to Celebrate NNL Promotion with Friendly Match Against Nasarawa United

Abuja football fans are in for a treat as City football club of Abuja , the newly promoted Nigeria National League (NNL) team, hosts Nasarawa United in a friendly match on Sunday.

This exciting encounter will not only serve as a celebration of City FC’s promotion to the NNL but also as a pre-season game for the team.

Which serves as an opportunity for the team to fine-tune their skills in preparation for the upcoming season.

According to City FC Chairman, Chidi Okonkwo, the friendly match is a perfect opportunity for the team to showcase their skills while expressing gratitude to their loyal fans.

 

“We want to celebrate with our fans. So, it is not just a friendly game, but also an occasion to appreciate our fans, thank them for their support all through the years,” Okonkwo added.


Nasarawa United, currently positioned in the Nigeria football premier league (NPFL) , has had a decent run in their recent matches.

In their last home matches, they have a hown dominance, winning 67% of their games. This upcoming match will be a great test for City FC as they prepare for the NNL season .

Nasarawa United, with 10 wins in 19 home games at Potiskum Stadium.City FC, on the other hand, has just gained promotion to the NNL and is looking to make a statement with this friendly match .

City FC and Nasarawa United will face off in a friendly match on Sunday , at Area 3 Football Pitch in Abuja by 3pm.
