Here at the August 27th Stadium in Damaturu, Yobe State, Yobe Desert Stars fc delivered a commanding 3-0 victory over Kada Warriors fc of Kaduna in their ongoing 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) Northern Conference D campaign.

The impressive win keeps the team’s qualification hopes alive, as they aim to reach 20 points to top their group and secure a spot in the upcoming NNL Super Eight tournament for the 2024/25 season, which will be hosted at a venue yet to be announced.

The Super Eight format includes four teams from the Southern Conferences (A and B) and four teams from the Northern Conferences (C and D), as approved during the recent NNL Congress and training workshop for media managers and club coaches held in Ikenne, Ogun State.

Yobe Desert Stars fc current resurgence is credited to the tireless efforts of Mohammed Alkali Achama Sarkiyo (S10 Z10) and his committed management team, who continue working day and night to return the club to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) next season.

The team also continues to receive unwavering financial and moral support from His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Honorable Mai Mala Buni. His consistent backing has been instrumental in the club recent progress and motivation.

With two crucial fixtures remaining an away match against Adamawa United fc in Numan and a home clash with Basira fc of Lafiya Yobe Desert Stars fc is determined to secure at least three additional points to qualify for the Super Eight and keep their promotion dream alive.

Under the visionary leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni, the ExecutiveGovernorofYobeState, and with Sarkiyo at the helm of operations, the club is experiencing renewed momentum. Sarkiyo has successfully reactivated the club’s fan base both within and outside Yobe State, bringing back supporters who had once turned away.
