General Manager, of Edo Queens Football Club of Benin, Rollanson Odeh, has expressed optimism that his girls will give Remo Stars Ladies a run for their money as both teams clash on Wednesday April 9th, 2025 in match day 11 of the Nigeria Women Football League ( NWFL) title campaign. The match will take place in Ikenne Remo Stars Ladies home ground. Kickoff time by 4pm.
“We thank God for his journey mercies, we are in Ijebu Ode ready for the encounter. You are aware that since the beginning of the season, we have not lost any game, our vision and mission here in Ikenne is to maintain our unbeaten run record.
“ Our girls have done it before, they can do it again. All we needed now is total commitment, determination and strong will.”
“The head, the technical crew Moses Aduku, brought in players with the right mentality who can help make good impart in Wednesday’s cracker.
” We obviously understand that we are up against a strong side, they are our rivals in the group A, it is going to be a game of the ‘Titans’, we have high class players that are battle ready, and who have admirably enjoyed a good run of form in their games. So at this critical level of the league, Edo Queens cannot afford to drop point, we started well and we will finish well.”
Recall that in the first leg of the campaign, Edo Queens played out an inspiring game against Remo Stars Ladies in Benin, but were forced to share a point each at the end of 90 minutes. For Edo Queens, It has been a historic season for them as defending champions.
For Wednesday’s epic match, everyone is looking forward to it, as the coach Moses Aduku tutored ladies will try and get the better side of the game on the best possible stage in front of the watching crowd.
Despite playing a draw in Benin, Edo Queens is very determined to come out strong against the host side. This match between this two giants, is most likely to be the NWFL star game of the week.
For record purposes, Edo Queens stay 26 points from 10 games, and currently top the table in group A, with an unbeaten run record.
