Abuja-based Division Two side Kicker Football Club may have suffered a tough 6-3 loss to City FC, but Coach Dare Adesomo sees it as a stepping stone to success.

In a recent interview, Adesomo shared his optimism about the team’s prospects, despite the disappointing outcome.

“We are not discouraged by the loss,” Adesomo said. “Instead, we are using it as an opportunity to refine our strategy and assess our new players.”

With an upcoming European tour on the horizon, Adesomo is focused on building a winning team.

The coach revealed that four new players have joined the team for trials, with a total of 12 new recruits in camp. “We are giving them a chance to showcase their skills, and those who don’t meet our standards will be sent back to their clubs,” he explained.

As part of their preparation, Kicker FC is set to play friendly matches against EFCC FC and Fabric FC this week. “These matches will help us fine-tune our strategy and test our players,” Adesomo said.

For Adesomo, it’s all about developing his team, rather than just winning matches.
“We are still building and processing, but I’m confident that by the time we are ready to travel, we will have a winning team,” he said.

With a positive attitude and a focus on growth, Coach Adesomo and Kicker FC are ready to take on the challenges ahead.
