The Northeast Zonal Sports Festival continues to showcase top-tier athletic performances, with Yobe State’s football team securing a commanding 4-0 victory over Adamawa State. The match, played at the August 27 Stadium in Damaturu, saw Yobe State dominate from start to finish.
Salisu Ley led the charge with two goals, while Batonde and Umar added one goal each, sealing a well-deserved win. With this triumph, Yobe State has officially qualified for the final of the competition.
The tournament, which is being played across decentralized zones, features a variety of sports, including volleyball, basketball, hockey, table tennis, lawn tennis, scrabble, and more. These games are taking place at different venues, ensuring broad participation from athletes across the region.
