Wikki Spikers will battle Nigeria Correctional Service in the men’s final at the ongoing 2025 President Beach Volleyball Cup on Friday (today).
Wikki Spikers I pulled off a surprise victory over defending champions, Kada Kings, winning 2-0 (21-18, 21-19), while Nigeria Correctional Service defeated Anista 2-0 (21-15, 21-15) at the Murtala Muhammed Beach Volleyball Court in Kaduna on Thursday.
In the women’s final, defending champions, Kada Emeralds, will face Adamawa Queens. Kada Emeralds triumphed over Jikwoyi Queens 2-0 (21-12, 21-8), while Adamawa Queens defeated Destiny Hands 2-0 (21-15, 21-5) in their respective women’s semifinals.
In the U17 boys’ final, Kada Prince will face Young Eagles, while Golden Hands will take on Young Eagles in the U17 girls’ final.
Meanwhile, the President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod, has invited the residents of Kaduna to attend the final.
Nimrod assured spectators of exciting encounters in both the men’s and women’s categories. He said, “The spectators should expect thrilling gameplay from the players. Some of them have represented the country at various international tournaments.”
“Beach Volleyball is one of the most exciting sports in the world, and you should expect a blend of sports and entertainment,” he added.
